I have been told that I need to upgrade my USB in order to
use my new printer to its full capacity - does anyone have
any ideas as to whether this can be dowloaded or do I have
to buy some hardware to install

 >Alison, you have to provide more information. What kind
of printer? What kind of computer? What version of
Windows are you using? How old is all this stuff? What
USB version are you using? How much memory? Have you
tried to install the printer and had troubles? What is
it supposed to do that it doesn't do? Does it simply
fail to print, or is it something something more, like
you want specific fonts?

Don't spend any money until you are sure you know what it
is that you want!

I suspect that what is meant is that you should use a USB 2.0 connection
rather than USB1.1. If that is the case then you will most likely have to
purchase an add-on card to provide this faster connection.
